Living Water CRC is a Gospel-centered, multiethnic church plant in Ann Arbor, Michigan—committed to worshiping the Triune God, multiplying disciple makers, and planting churches globally - by living under Christ’s Kingship and sharing His love across all cultures, through the wisdom and power of the Holy Spirit.

We welcome a mosaic of people: graduate students, young professionals, multiethnic families, and the spiritually curious. We are especially mindful of third-culture individuals—those navigating multiple cultural worlds—and of those disillusioned by religion who long for healing, truth, and grace.
Our church building, located between Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, is more than a gathering place—it is a sanctuary of belonging, rest, and peace. We are especially attentive to the international community, including students and families far from home. Through hospitality, presence, and proclamation, we long to share the love and truth of Christ with all nations.

Meet Our Pastor:
Pastor David Sung
Pastor David Sung has served in pastoral ministry for over 30 years. He earned his B.A. from the University of Washington and his Master of Divinity from Calvin Theological Seminary. Over the course of his ministry, he has pastored churches in both Michigan and New Jersey, with much of his early work rooted in English-speaking Korean congregations.
From 2018 to 2025, Pastor David served at Living Water Church in Grand Rapids, where he experienced a profound shift in his ministry vision. Those seven years opened his eyes to the beauty and richness of multiethnic ministry. Freed to invite “any and everybody” into the life of the church, he discovered deep joy in seeing people from diverse cultures and backgrounds come together to worship Christ. This experience ignited a fresh passion for church planting as one of the most effective ways to bring new people into the family of God.
Now in Ann Arbor, Pastor David is leading the launch of Living Water Christian Reformed Church with a vision to minister to the 190 nations represented in the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area. His heart is to see a vibrant, multiethnic community of disciples who are rooted in Christ and equipped to make disciples of all nations. Beyond ministry, Pastor David is the proud father of six children. In his free time, he enjoys running or biking along the Huron River, and he pursues the art of luthiery—most recently working on building a handcrafted guitar.
